MaryPATTISONof Olive House, New Line, Bacup, died peacefully at home on Friday, December 27, aged 101. Born in Shawforth, she had lived in Bacup most of her life. Mary was employed at J & J McLeries, Bacup, for many years and at a variety of mills in the area. She enjoyed walking, reading, knitting and socializing with her late husband Albert, but mostly being surrounded by her loving family. Widow of Albert who died 26 years ago, she leaves her son Vincent and his wife Sandra, daughter Mary in Australia, daughter Christine, and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great, great-grandchildren and friends. A Requiem Mass was held at St Anselm's RC Church, Whitworth, on Friday, January 17, followed by interment in Bacup cemetery, conducted by Father Chris McGrane.
